The 28th Annual Wilderness Road Ride

New Ride Features:
Group Start Times - This year we are offering group start times for those interested in joining others. Riders will gather in front of the Dedmon Center at the "starting line" at a designated time: 7:00, 7:10, 7:20, 7:30, 7:40 and 8:00am. Those who sign up for the century and 80 miler must leave no later than 7:30.
Strava Segments - There will be 4 Strava segments and prizes will be awarded to both male and female winners. You will automatcially be entered if you have and use Strava.
Prize Drawings - There will be over 40 cool prizes given away based on random drawing of bib numbers during your ride. Please check in when you return to see if you've won and clam your prize. Prizes will only be awarded to pre-registered riders!
Specialized Purist water bottles will be given to all riders (pre-registered and those who sign up that day). Sock Guys socks and t-shirts from previous years will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
A scenic and historical adventure through southwest Virginia’s beautiful New River Valley, the ride follows part of Daniel Boone’s Wilderness Road. This is a ride for all ride levels to enjoy, with something for everyone— 5 routes to choose from ranging from a 29 mile relaxed journey for novices, to a century challenge for the fittest cyclist. This is a must ride for cyclists of all ages and athletic abilities. The 28th Annual Wilderness Road Ride takes place Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

The Wilderness Road Ride takes place Saturday, May 25, 2019. All routes start and finish in Radford, at the Dedmon Center and Bisset Park. Non-riders can enjoy Bisset Park, the New River, and downtown Radford, while their families and friends are out riding.
Fully supported aid stations will be positioned at regular intervals along the course and the start/finish location. Aid stations will be supplied with Heed Hammer Nutrition fuel, as well as water and plenty of other snacks.
Detailed maps and cue sheets will be available at the start of the ride.
